Numerous castles, museums and other attractions are waiting for you!
Katschberg pony pasture & Pritzhütte
The pony pasture is a popular excursion destination for families! While the young ones take their first riding lessons on the ponies, you can relax on the Pritzhütte or also go on a trip. Come and discover: a water playground, petting areas, a hen house, pony bathing area and pony pasture panoramic route (circular hiking route which takes approx. 40 min.).
Augustine chapel with “Augenbründl”
The memorial is located on a small hill in the wood and, according to legend, has been there since 283 B.C. Next to our chapel there is a spring that runs “clockwise”, which is believed to have the same healing effect as water from Lourdes.
St. Michael open-air pool
Come and cool down on hot summer days at St. Michael open-air pool. Discover a large adults‘ pool and a small children’s pool! There is a mini golf course next to the pool. After swimming a few lengths you can enjoy some refreshments in the restaurant. In good weather, the pool is open from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm!
Mauterndorf castle & museum
Lungau museum (a museum for ancient customs, court life, minerals, religion and much more) is located in Mauterndorf castle, through which a toll road used to run. Nowadays, the castle and museum are popular with both locals and tourists. Learn about mediaeval life and discover Lungau traditions.
